Position: International Host
Function overview:
Translating menus, onboard journals and other works of the English translation into German, French spanish, portuguese, itlalaans.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
In line with the company's standards, each employee in a professional and courteous manner at all times. This applies to physical and verbal interactions with guests or fellow workers on board and / or in the presence of guest contact and crew areas.
Helping with the International Programme in all service-related services on board the ship. This includes but is not limited to:
Provide sequential or simultaneous interpretation services for guests that language assistance.
Must demonstrate a strong writing from the appropriate languages to assist with translations of all documents and communications for the guests, including the Daily Cruise Journal, letters and other materials. Also helps with translations for all other departments as a foreign language translation is needed on board.
Review and ensure the accuracy of collateral materials and coordinating the distribution of in-stateroom cleaning materials to the department.
Translates communications on the announcement system.
Host International serves as host and / or translator for any kind of event or activity with a large number of non-English speaking guests. This includes, but is not limited to, the Welcome Aboard show, Farewell Show, Cruise Staff during island activities, charters, affinity, promotion, incentives, presentations, and various theme night arrangements.
